ECOproduct is a database for choosing environmentally friendly building materials and chemicals based on information in an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) or a safety data sheet. Each product gets an environmental profile based on for Indoor Environment, Health and Environmental Hazardous Substances, Global Warming Potential and Resource Consumption. The specific environmental data can also be viewed, in addition to the actual EPD/Safety Data Sheet for every product. Requires a paid licence.

BVB provides an evaluation standard based on seven factors: Chemical content; Input materials; the construction phase; the management phase; Demolition; Residual and waste products; Indoor environment. These are weighted to come up with a final score: either "recommended", "accepted" or "to be avoided".

It provides a tool for benchmarking companies as they select safer alternatives and reduce their use of chemicals of high concern. CFP provides guidance on chemical footprinting, which is the process of benchmarking progress away from hazardous chemicals and towards safer alternatives.
