- Carrying out research on diverse chemical exposure and related health effects to influence policy
- Conducting programs geared towards reduction in chemical exposure including phasing out lead in paints since 2013
- Conducting outreach programs including raising awareness with involvement of communities about associated risks of chemical exposure and remediation of contaminated sites
- Working closely with industries in collaboration with key stakeholders and other entities to bring about needed improvement
- Dissemination related findings for informing policies and interventions • High level capacity building in environmentally sound management of chemicals
- Supervision and mentoring of postgraduate students to develop expertise in chemical management
- Sharing and exchange of knowledge on the best practices and technology in the management of chemicals
- Being a member of chemical societies to share experiences
