The event, organized by Nexus 4 (formerly BaliFokus, an IPEN NGO partner) aims to officially launch the "Elimination of Lead in Paint" project implementation in Indonesia as well as share and discuss information related to lead paint both in the global and country context. The overall goal of the workshop is to discuss in detail the project work plan and the draft technical guidelines on paint reformulation as it applies to SMEs. This workshop represents the initiation of project activities in the Africa region. The participants are the nominated national focal points for environment and health, together with project executing partners, and industry and civil society representatives. The objectives of the regional workshop are to: Provide participants with an understanding of why the elimination of lead paint is important and provide an overview of the SAICM GEF Project Lead in Paint Component. Provide participants with an understanding of the elements of a
